wow.. i'm impressed. usually u.s. games like this take a couple of days to come out after their actual release date.

worth to get it..
the game is so advanced on the DS
that you can throw away the snes psx and gba version the same time.

Final Fantasy IV is my favorite Final Fantasy game. Next to that is the Origins version of Final Fantasy I.

I hear there's an undub of this already. That'll be interesting to compare.

Correct. Final Fantasy IV was called Final Fantasy II in the US, since Final Fantasy II and III for the Famicom were not released stateside. By that same reasoning, Final Fantasy VI was renamed to Final Fantasy III (since II, III, and V were all skipped). Then VII came out and everybody in America went WTF?

So why did we wait for this rom? FF1 and FF2 were already released on DS as one rom a while ago...

@JetBlack this is FF4, FF2 is the one where there are no levels, it was never released state side before, and FF4 ended up being named FF2 in NA back on the snes

Ah, this brings back memories... I remember loving the SNES version (although I liked Seiken Densetsu 3, Tales of Phantasia and Chrono Trigger more). I wonder if they're going to port SD3?

wow this is way different than the snes version! it works on no$ however sometimes the text gets messed up and stays on the screen making it hard to read.

Ah, Final Fantasy... The thing with more remakes than actual games in the series. The only thing Square makes money off of. The thing that gets 1 more treasure chest added each time, and graphical changes that were never necessary. Next they're gonna make remakes for Nintendo Triple Screen.

People here sure are excited over a recycled game. Sure it looks much better then previous versions but it wasn't that long ago we played the gba remake. The game script is still the same. If you haven't played this game or if you like playing games over and over give it a try . Gameplay is still oldskool and I have the impression it is a bit harder as well. It is Final Fantasy! So what the hell. Play it again.

btw been playing for about 15hrs now...love every minute of it. Using CycloDS worked like charm.

Somethings wrong with my game. I CAN'T SAVE. I can quick save, but thats virtually useless. Think theres a firmware upgrade for this problem?

I want a DS version of FF5... But in the style of the original sprites.. I don't mean it can't be 3Dish.. But compare the Butz, Lenna and Faris from the PS movies with the SNES sprites and you'll get what I mean...
GRRR *must not rant about stupidity of FF5 PlayStation version*
AND YES to DS version of Seiken Densetsu 3 (or Legend of Mana.. I liked that game.. but it annoyed me that you could only walk slowly during battles)
